In the heat of a locked down Melbourne and Covid 19, there was a small home salon on a busy road in Avondale Heights. This humble beginning marked the start of a remarkable journey for our founder, Emily Whiteway, who has a massive passion for beauty and incredible attention to detail.

Owner Emily grew up in Moonee Ponds and started her beauty career when she was just 15. After working under incredible Indusrty leaders and being trained by the best she decided to take the leap and start her business. Moving out of her parents house and into a small unit on Military rd, Avondale Heights Emily transformed her spare bedroom into a home salon. After 2 amazing years Makeup & Beauty Lounge out grew the home salon and it was time for a HUGE upgrade.

Emily looked high and low for a space that was perfect for her business but also accessible for all her clients, 276 Union Road Moonee Ponds was the perfect fit. Emilys Family worked so hard to transform what was once a office space and a butcher into what we know now as Moonee Ponds one stop beauty salon the Luxurious Makeup & Beauty Lounge. Emily has now been operating out of Moonee Ponds for 1 year and her business and online store is chosen by many clients and customers throughout Melbourne, Australia.

Emily has over 10 years experience in the beauty industry and is now a well known Industry Leader. With a growing team and community presence and she couldnt be prouder of what she has built with the help of her family, friends and her clients.
